After walking through the stained-glass Yacobovsky Front Doors, Jerusalem stone greets congregants and guests in the Polis Lobby.
The Harry Sax Donor Wall honors those who have made major gifts to the Greenspun Campus. The Emerson Avenue Synagogue Donor Wall, with its gold leaf stars etched into a dramatic, black, granite Chai, pays tribute to our past.
There is a sun-like pattern in the artwork in the Polis Lobby. It has 18 Shofars extending out with a Hebrew saying on it that says, “God redeems the soul of his servants”, Podeh Adonai nefesh
avodav, Psalm 34:23. The 18 is for Life, Chai, and the jewel at the center is red to represent the pomegranate.
A flat-screen TV lists campus events. The lobby also provides access to the Audio Video Room and Child Care Room, as well as the Leitizia Crying Room.
