At Congregation Ner Tamid, The Gary & Lynn Kantor Early Childhood Education Center is your family’s gateway to our Temple and a perfect place to begin your child’s Jewish and secular educational journey. We offer full and half day schedules for Infants – Pre-Kindergarten. Our program offers play-based learning, focusing on developmentally appropriate practices. At this Las Vegas Preschool, we work with families so your child meets THEIR specific goals! We offer weekly enrichment programs as well as before and after care:
At CNT’s Kantor ECEC, Jewish learning comes to life on a daily basis. It’s where children celebrate Shabbat and Jewish holidays and where Jewish values are not just taught, but lived. Under the direction of Farrah Berlin-Tomaro, CNT’s Kantor ECEC is the model for Preschool programs nationwide. Our experienced and highly-trained staff encourages intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth through hands-on, child directed activities in a warm and nurturing environment, and our open-door policy and family programs encourage comfort and socialization between families, teachers, and our synagogue. Family relationships and community building are fundamental in our program.
About Gary and Lynn Kantor
Dr. Gary Kantor and Lynn Kantor are long-time members and prominent supporters of Congregation Ner Tamid.
Gay and Lynn were instrumental in making the Greenspun Campus happen, and it they were fundamental supporters in starting and growing the Kantor Early Childhood Education Center - ECEC for short.
Gary was the first nephrologist in Las Vegas and Clark County, arriving in 1972. He stablished the first dialysis unit in the state of Nevada and became the president of the Nevada branch of the National Kidney Foundation.
Lynn worked as a registered nurse at UMC for 21 years.
Tragically, Gary lost more than 200 family members in the Holocaust. Gary's father, AL Kantor, donated generously to causes fostering the birth of the State of Israel and supporting Israel's War of Independence in 1948.
The Kantors honored Gary's family at CNT by endowing the Gary & Lynn Kantor Early Childhood Education Center as well as the Al & Rose Kantor Library.
