According to ancient saying, we are to ‘Build from Generation to Generation.’ And so we did.
Welcome to Congregation Ner Tamid—a Synagogue that will be here for generations yet to come as a source of strength and inspiration: A lasting symbol of Jewish vitality and spirit in Southern Nevada.
Sitting on eight-and-a-half acres, this $27,000,000 project was erected on the most significant land left on the 215 Beltway: the last piece of Greenspun land for sale in Green Valley. We thank the entire Greenspun family, for helping us to establish a fitting tribute to the desert, and our past.
Architect Jon Sparer, congregant and a principal of YWS Architects; members of his staff, including Nat Shupe and Mike Hawla; interior designers Ann Fleming and Suzie Radke of Cleo Designs; and informal designer Jane Radoff, who designed the Emerson Avenue Sanctuary and the Bellagio and Wynn Casino Interiors, took great pains to incorporate nods to our collective history inside a state-of-the-art facility. No matter where you look in the building, there is a piece
of the Emerson Avenue Synagogue.
The Long Range Planning Committee’s wish list, which began about nine years ago, has finally come to fruition. Our fully-functioning, adaptable Reform Synagogue Campus embraces and enhances Jewish culture, from spiritual touches like a free-standing Ark, to hotel-quality
amenities, such as a first-class Kitchen and working stage.
